Bancroft Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Designer to assist in the design and manufacturing of custom automated welding equipment. This key role will work with a team to design and build a variety of standard and customized machinery. We are located on the border of Waukesha/Brookfield, near I-94.

At Bancroft, we create better and more efficient ways to weld a variety of products. The right candidate MUST be able to work independently, and have a strong ability to use a variety of tools in a shop environment. This is not a 100% desk job; you will assist with the construction of your designs.

The Mechanical Engineer/Designer will:

• Work closely with Mechanical Engineering team using SOLIDWORKS for 3D modeling machinery
• Create prints in SOLIDWORKS from other mechanical designers’ models
• Obtain quotes/ assist with construction of BOM’s
• Work both independently and with a group to prioritize tasks
• Utilize our JobBoss ERP system for managing flow
• Assemble large and small mechanical systems
• Cut parts and metal products using a variety of custom tools
• Utilize a variety of hand tools
• Work with power tools both large and small
• Drill tap holes
• Take on special projects as required

Qualifications

• Experience in SOLIDWORKS and Microsoft Office is a must
• Must be knowledgeable in machine assembly techniques to ensure proper fits, clearances, finishes, travels, limits, lubrications, etc.
• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or assembly environment, on a shop floor, or previous machinery design experience using SOLIDWORKS.
• Strong ability to use a variety of hand tools
• Understanding or experience in welding small jobs
• Must be proficient at reading and interpreting blue prints and schematics
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. and work in crouched positions for short amounts of time
• Ability to work 1st shift in Waukesha, WI
• Manual machining ability would be a huge plus
• Experience with JobBoss ERP is another plus but not required

Pay:

$60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
