Job Description:

Bancroft Engineering is a machinery builder that focuses on automated welding. Warranty and support of all our products is one of our top priorities. Bancroft is a growing, technologically advanced company. We make every effort to limit travel for service to less than 20% and keep the vast majority of the 20% to one-day trips.

Position Objective:

To inspect and repair both electrical and mechanical components in Bancroft machinery to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. Support Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service in providing quality work and suggestions to reduce/eliminate any equipment problems.

Job Requirements and Primary Responsibilities:

• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical components ensuring the equipment is in proper working order to meet quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose problems in malfunctioning equipment.
• Troubleshoot with customers via phone to diagnose malfunctioning equipment in the field.
• May be required to travel to repair malfunctioning equipment in the field.
• Determine the faulty part, decide if it can be fixed or needs replacement.
• Work with all necessary tools for any potential job.
• Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing and other company personnel to complete and ship repairs in a timely manner.
• Field calls from customers for both parts and service.
• Assist customers in finding and ordering the correct part when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Must have a good knowledge of basic hand tools and the ability to use them.
• Be able to use small power tools.
• Ability to recognize wiring or device components that require repair or replacement and carry out those tasks.
• Customer service focused
• Must have knowledge of basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
